My name is Samantha Holt and I am a Cancer Support Coach. If you’re interested in what that is, please check out the services page but here I’ll tell you a little about me and why I could be the best fit for you and your journey.
For the last 30 years, I have been working at a senior level within the NHS as a Clinical Technologist in Nuclear Medicine in medical imaging. This role has given me the pleasure and experience of working with a diverse group of patients of all ages from 1 to 100 and with a variety of medical issues, the most dominant one being cancer. I feel that each and every patient that I have worked with has inspired me with stories of their struggles and courage.
I have worked with both children and adults throughout their cancer journeys along with supporting their relatives and caregivers. I have been present and working with both throughout various stages of diagnosis and treatment.
Having worked in the NHS for a large part of my career, I have a comprehensive knowledge of the cancer pathway in the NHS, I understand the stages, the terminology and the treatment pathways. Many patients find this a traumatic and confusing time and I am able to use my knowledge and expertise to help and support them through this difficult time.
I am fully qualified coach having studied on a course accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
I also hold a full DBS enhanced certificate.
